ORIGINAL POSTER
On Nov 26th thai visa posted all immigration offices

closed after dec 27th

until Jan 2

My under consideration stamp is for Dec 28th

Should I attempt to go on 27th and hopefully not be turned away?

It's a long drive to Udon Thani from khumphawapl!

I guess calling is an option, any way always get great advice on this site!

Appreciate any advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking advice on whether to go to the Udon Thani immigration office on December 27th, as their under consideration stamp requires them to report on December 28th, a day when the office is closed due to holidays. Commenters advise visiting on the 27th for safety and suggest calling the immigration office for confirmation, noting that some offices have specific policies regarding under consideration dates.

I'll give you a little overview now, you can copy it into your notebook:

*** 27.12 = open

*** 28.12. = closed xxx

*** 29.12. = closed xxx

*** 30.12. = closed xxx

*** 31.12. = closed xxx

*** 01.01. = closed xxx

*** 02.01. = open

*** 03.01. = open

*** 04.01. = closed xxx

*** 05.01. = closed xxx

*** 06.01. = open

*** The most important thing to note is that the immigration offices throughout Thailand are closed for FIVE DAYS in a row!

I would call them and ask if you can pick on 27th, if you live far from the IO

Quite strange your under consideration stamp run out on Saturday Dec 28th ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Doesn't make any sense at all seeing as ALL immigration offices are closed on weekends

Either slog on in now, OR go Friday the 27th for sure.

I would not wait until after they open for the new year to go see why you got a stamp telling you to come back on Saturday ๐Ÿ™

The best is to call your local immigration office to get the direction about that.

Or visit them on 27th to seek advice if you want to take a safe side.

Some provincial offices give you under-consideration period, but they would call you for the actual date. In this case, you just need to wait for the new date, you will not be on overstay even if the u/c period passes.

But some offices give you fixed date and you have to show up on that date, otherwise you could lose your application in the worst case. In this case of the date falls on holidays, we usually advice members to check with them the day before that holiday.

Anyway, you have to check how your office handles u/c date.
