What happens if you don't have a smart phone or internet access. Not good for us older folk.

the most confusing part on is one needs to enter country of residence .. for people having residency in Thailand under whatever form Thailand can't be selected amongst the list of countries .. I think they got things mixed up with country of origin
Ellie Takel thank you for posting the video. It gives me a good insight of requirements regarding my future travels to the Kingdom.

This is the same as MDAC(Malaysia Digital Arrival Card). The MDAC was difficult to obtain. The MDAC could only be submitted 2 days before arrival and I never got an email. Let's see how the TDAC actually works. My guess is some will be denied boarding as the TDAC will have some issues in the beginning.
it would be nice for the Thai Immigration Bureau to give more clarification about those holding Thai E–Visa PDF's, those holding the remaining Thai Visa Stickers, and of course, those with Thai Visa's issued in-country by the local Thai Immigration Offices to either have additional information fields to input Thai Visa details (if any), or perhaps waive or somehow incorporate and accommodate Thai Visa holders with this new TDAC:
as the old Immigration Bureau Order published in the Royal Gazette only discusses an "Electronic Arrival/Departure Card" replacing the Paper TM.6 for those on "Visa Exempt" and not much else more....
Download the Thailand Digital Arrival Card. You can also download or print a copy from the email address provided for the duration of your stay in Thailand.
I don’t know about Thailand because it’s new but you have to print out the Malaysia MDAC and hand it to the IO with your passport on arrival so it could be similar.
I filled out the MDAC while queuing for immigration and they didn't need it printed. Just needed it to have been done. There were posters in the immigration queue at KLIA explaining how to do it.
When they first introduced it they allowed people to complete it on arrival but I think later on they required it to be completed prior to travel. When I traveled last May they just recommended to print it out to speed up processing but as long as it had been submitted and you were in the system all good. Showing the QR code on your phone was another option. I think the Thailand DAC will be an improvement over the old paper TM6 because I have had problems with losing it in the past. Anyway time will tell.
note* submit within 3 days of arrival. BKK Immigration Police today at the Fines desk advised me that application is within 3 days and not before. ie not 4 days or more before arrival.
