Needing advice: Has anyone gotten a US emergency passport and then needed to mail it in in order to get your longterm passport? I’m not sure how I’m supposed to transfer my Thai visa over if I need to turn the emergency passport over before I can get the new one. Any info is appreciated- it’s like a brick wall trying to reach an actual human being at the consulate. 🤪

i picked up my proper passport in person, and they gave the emergency one back to me but cancelled

then went to chaeng wattana for stamp transfer (since i have a non-b)

honestly i dont know how it works with mail - can you go in person?

You will get your old passport back with a new one. Then bring both old and new to the immigration office to apply for transferring stamps.

Please check the US embassy in Bangkok for passport service regarding to your passport application, especially FAQ on their website. Unfortunately, how to get a new passport is out of the scope of this group.
