What do members need to know about the upcoming TM30 system renewal and re-registration?

As you can see on the login screen of the current TM30 web system ( and in the email sent to the registered address), the web system will be replaced on 15 Sep.

You will need to register again at the new website on or after 15 September

So what we know about the new Section.38/TM.30 online system (NOTIFICATION OF RESIDENCE FOR FOREIGNERS) so far:

- You can do registration smoothly (at least quicker than when the previous system was opened to individuals)

- You cannot search the data from the previous system on the new system

- There is no note about whether you need to re-submit your existing TM30 to a new system again

About the previous system:

- You cannot access the previous system with the old link anymore (goes to the new URL automatically)

- Old apps are still working okay (seemingly) - though they have been unsupported for a long time. use it at your own risk

- You can search and get the 'old' TM30 receipt (screen capture) with old apps

Conclusion:

- If you want to get a new TM30 receipt from the system, you may need to submit a new TM30 again on the new system

- We strongly NOT recommend submitting a new TM30 on the old system through apps

Notes:

We are NOT the support team for government-implemented systems. We are quite new to this system, same as you all.

Forgive my ignorance but does this mean that every hotel in Thailand that reports guests checking in needs to re-register on the 15th?

, registered accounts got emails about this change already. I don't know if the instruction is the same for those hotel/accommodation businesses. They need to check their emails or contact their local immigration office.

, check the email address which you used to register a user account on the system <- with which you got your initial password by the system. It's not a TM30 submission.

, There is no mention of mobile apps. Actually, apps have been unavailable on the official sites (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) for quite a while now. Keep watching if supporting apps will be officially announced.

I filed my last TM30 end of July 2023 with the app and used the TM30 screenshot on 6.9.23 at immigration. So it seems the app is still working properly.

I know its in bold here but do I understand that even if your address is registered and you have tm30 receipt in your passport you need to register again?

system replacement wouldn't cancel your current receipt, as my understanding. Register your "account" again to use the new system. But it's always better to check with your local immigration office.
