Generally it is advised to stay in the country where you’re applying for the visa from until granted. They can ask you to attend for an interview and/or decline an application if they see you are no longer there.

That said many have done what you have said and got their visa anyway. Toss a coin. It might go either way.

All entries are linked via biometrics these days. Immigration will know your entry history regardless of the passport you use.

Not an issue. You’re a typical tourist and won’t raise any red flags for immigration.

Anonymous participant 643 Good luck trying.

Anonymous participant 643 Sure. It’s up to them. If they think you are abusing the entry rules they can deny entry. Would rarely happen for a legit visa. But it could.

I’m an information guy. I do research. I work at immigration and as said I’ve never heard of a single instance of a DTV entrant being refused. I can’t say it’s never happened as it’s up to an individual immigration officer.

Not heard of a single case of a denied entry for a DTV holder. It is of course up to an individual immigration officer but highly unlikely.

Immigration won’t cancel a visa issued by the MFA. You need to contact the embassy or consulate you got it from to cancel it. Perhaps the MFA in country can do but you’d have to ask them directly.

Once cancelled you can then apply for a Non B.

The embassy in Hanoi and consulate in HCMC list the areas of Vietnam that they service. Check online which one to apply through.
