i'm changing jobs and in theory I should be able to transfer it to my new school but the general consensus seems to be the admin hassle isn't worth it so I should just start from scratch. The school definitely don't seem to want to do that.

The school seems to think it just a case of go to a neighbouring country ( I proposed Malaysia KL) walk in, wait 2 days pick it up then come home. But I don't think it's that simple any more.

What would be great to know is how much time I need away from the school. Let's say for the embassy in KL

Do you have any idea of the average processing time for UK nationals? I already hold a non-immigrant B but the school prefer I exit and get a new one instead of transferring it...

Thanks Stuart that's helpful - I need something to go back to the head of department with and politely tell him his info is wrong!

Thanks Stuart. My Thai school told me to go to a neighbouring country, walk in and it would be done in 2 days but it seems like that changed last year right?
