Just wondering if anyone has flown out and returned on the same day to reset their 180 days? Or is it advisable to stay out for a day at least? Or even a few? Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether it's acceptable to leave Thailand and return on the same day to reset the 180-day visa duration. Comments indicate that many have successfully done this, often traveling to nearby locations such as Kuala Lumpur without facing issues, especially if holding a valid visa. However, some suggest playing it safe by staying out longer or enjoying a short holiday, while others mention quick border crossings that only require leaving Thailand briefly.
no issue at all bouncing out/back quickly to get a new 180 day entry stamp
People have gotten r/t to KL then not even stamped IN to Malaysia but just hang in the transit area until you board the flight back to thailand 😛

Using a valid visa there should be no time limit that you need to stay out of Thailand for.
There may be some land borders that insist when using visa exempt but shouldn’t be an issue with a valid visa and almost certainly at no airport entry.

People have crossed land borders for as long as it has taken them to be processed out of Thailand. In and out of the neighbouring countries and back into Thailand.

Play it safe and make a week out of it.
