Nope. The extension cost is 10,000 baht. Why anyone would pay that is beyond me when they can do a border bounce but that’s the fee.

I do not know 100% but I’ve asked my immigration contacts to confirm. I’m pretty sure you would need to do a report but waiting on their feedback.

No point in paying for a tourist visa now really. Come visa exempt and you’ll get 60 days (plus 30 if you extend once).

The visa is only a month old, so people won’t be getting extensions for a few more months at least.

Probably not uncommon for immigration offices to not know what will be needed just yet.

You can’t get residency from having a child at school. You can get a guardian visa if they are in a recognised international school program.
