I am currently on a non o retirement visa, goes from April to April. My passport renewal is due in August 26. The immigration officer I deal with said I need to renew my passport before my next renewal in April 25 , is this correct? I can only think the reason maybe because I won't have 6 months left on my passport when it's due in August 26, can anyone enlighten me to the reason. Thanks

I understand that after getting a non o retirement extension the 800,000 baht must remain in your account for 3 months after then not drop below 400,000.

If you wish the following year's extension to be based on marriage do you still need to bring the account back up to 800,000?

Here is a summary of the questions asked and answers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the video about Thailand's DTV Visa:

* Question - can you clarify the 180-day rule for the DTV Visa? Is it 180 days per visit or per calendar year?

Answer - the 180-day rule is per visit. You get 180 days of stay upon arrival, which can be extended for another 180 days. This means you can stay a maximum of 360 days per visit. Once you leave Thailand, the 180-day clock resets when you re-enter.

* Question - is there a limit to how many times you can extend your stay within the 5-year validity of the DTV Visa?

Answer: yes, you can extend your stay once per visit. This means you can stay a maximum of 360 days per visit, but you can re-enter Thailand as many times as you want within the 5-year validity of the visa.

* Question - what are the requirements for applying for a DTV Visa?

Answer - to apply for a DTV Visa, you must be one of the following:A freelancer, digital nomad, or remote worker with a letter of employment from a company outside of Thailand or a professional portfolio of your work.

Someone attending a course or activity promoted by the government, such as a Muay Thai course, music festival, or seminar.

A legal dependent (spouse or child under 20) of a DTV holder.

You will also need to show proof of funds of at least 500,000 Thai Baht.

* Question - what is the process for re-entering Thailand on a DTV Visa after leaving the country?

Answer - to re-enter Thailand on a DTV Visa, you simply need to show your valid DTV Visa at immigration. There are no additional fees or requirements.

* Question - what is the cost of a DTV Visa?

Answer - the cost of a DTV Visa is 10,000 Thai Baht.

* Question - will the DTV Visa compete with other types of visas, such as the Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa or the Thailand Elite program?

Answer - the Thai government does not see the DTV Visa as competing with other types of visas. They believe that all visas bring in revenue for the country and that it is good for Thailand to have a variety of visas to choose from.

Please note that this is just a summary of some of the key points from the video. The video contains a lot more information about the DTV Visa, so I encourage you to watch the full video if you want to learn more.

New one for me. Online 90 day report rejected. Jomtien. Seems to say that leaving and returning the country is treated like the first online and must be in person.

Hello

Two questions:

1. Do I need to show a return flight when applying SETV visa? Yes I will have a onward ticket when landing in Bangkok

2. Me and wife gonna stay hotel first week before traveling to her house, does she still need to write an invite or is it enough to show the hotel booking? Yes I know when we get to her house we need to go to the immigration

Many thanks in advance 🙏

Hi All,

I've just logged on to apply for a new e Visa Non O based on being a parent of a Thai child and I can only apply for a single entry.

Is this right? Or is it a glitch in the system?

I was using the UK e-visa.
