TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question inquires about obtaining residency in Thailand for the poster and their child, based on the child's enrollment in school. Responses clarify that residency cannot be obtained solely through school enrollment; a guardian visa is available if the child attends an internationally recognized school. There is also mention of the DTV visa as a potentially cheaper alternative. Overall, while some community members urged for research, others highlighted the value of the group's shared experiences and insights.
again since you erased the previous comment , since you didn’t like my response and those who agreed with me. Does anyone like human interactions anymore? Not everyone likes to use tech, I learned a bunch of new information and other things that weren’t related to my question for me to research. Look at that the power of community!!!
I know they allow student guardian visas that allow you to stay longer than the tourist 60 days and having to do extensions and border runs often. So I was hoping Elate in Hua Hin would qualify but I don't think it does.
Yes I was aware of the student/guardian visa, I just wasn't sure if it had to be an international school program. Ugh they're just so expensive, I was having wishful thinking on this I guess. 😢
