The OP was wanting to do a border bounce. That means leaving Thailand to go somewhere and return.

You are just on a connecting flight so don’t need to pass immigration in KL

You have to pass immigration in Malaysia to enter and then again to exit. You can’t just stay in the airside section to board a plane back.

That is unknown at this time. Press have printed articles about it but until it becomes official no one knows.

A DTV is just a glorified tourist visa. It has no bearing on whether you can open a bank account. You can open a bank account on any visa status or even visa exempt. Except that these days it’s getting almost impossible to do without a non immigrant visa.

Some bank branches will let you with a residence certificate from immigration. Some will let you if you buy their inflated insurance policy. Most probably won’t so you’ll need to get hold of an agent to do it for you at a cost.

There is no maximum amount of days you can stay as such. That said you are not going to be able to stay forever on visa exempt entries and extensions.

At some point the immigration officer you hand your passport to at a border will say enough is enough and either give you a warning to get a valid visa or flatly deny you entry.

How many times you’ll get away with is anyone’s guess as it’s up to that individual immigration officer. It could be 3, it could be 8 or more.

If you’ve maxed out your initial entry and extension and try to re-enter they may have issues after one time. Some seem to get away with numerous times.

You can’t get a 30 day extension off a Non O visa. Probably the best option would be for your husband to border bounce and come in on a new exempt entry stamp for 60 days. If needed that can be extended for 30 days.

You could then apply for an in country Non O if your marriage certificate arrives in time. If it turns out that you have the certificate, but not enough time left to convert then you can get a 60 day visit Thai family extension.

I usually find it way faster. You can check either method and they’ll give you a rough estimate on how long it will take. Usually small transfers (under 1k USD or Euro) from a Wise wallet will take seconds. The fees are pro rata so you don’t lose much doing multiple transfers that you get in seconds.

Set up a Wise account. Send your money to your Wise wallet (usually a local bank transfer so that’s free) and then transfer to your Thai bank for very low fees and good exchange rates.

You file a 90 day report where your TM30 is filed. If that’s for Samui then file there. If you don’t have one for Samui yet then get your house owner or landlord to file one before you report.
