Would recommend renting for the first 3-6 months … check out the areas - we moved to HH last year .. but still do 6months in Europe 6 months Thailand the way things are heading we will be spending more and more time in Thailand.. check out a couple of agents.. would recommend
DTV visa works well for us I am over 50 , but my partner is not quite there yet a few more years.. I could apply for a retirement visa but not necessary at the moment… the other option you have is the 5 year Elite Visa probably more secure but expensive… although there are some perks attached
I got a DTV via my Company in HK which was very straightforward… my wife got hers via the medical treatment route- ie A schedule of Dental work- all we provided was an assessment by the dentist on what work she needed .. she has completed most of the work and has a 5 year visa .. she got the Visa before doing any of the work
I just got the new DTV Visa - 180 days on a single entry and extendable by another 180 days at the local immigration office - it is a 5 year multiple entry visa all you have to show is you have money in your overseas account.. THB 500k for the last 3 months - costs circa 10,000 THB
