Even if there is it’s unlikely their experience will match yours, unless they used exactly the same embassy as you will. Each set their own rules.

You will see mixed answers as each immigration office may require different things. Some you will be able to switch in country to a Non O guardian visa without leaving the country.

Others may require to to enter on a Non O and then get your year extension.

Ask your office for their policy

Yes some will. Some won’t. So you’ll get conflicting answers here. Some will say “I’ve been to Thailand 500 times and I’ve never been asked”, to others saying “I got stopped boarding until I bought a ticket out”.

Call your airline to ask their policy or buy an “onward ticket” from the plethora of companies that will sell you one for about $15.

Immigration almost certainly won’t care as they know you can get an extension.

You need a TM30. Pay them 200 baht and they mail it to your registered address. Any visa type.

You can get a residence certificate on any visa type or even visa exempt.

Ok. You’d want to go to counter J at Chaengwattana.

Go to your local immigration office and apply.

In Bangkok it depends on whether you actually have bought a visa prior to entering Thailand or whether you just got the 60 day visa exempt stamp on your arrival.

If the former you go to the main government complex at Chaengwattana. If the latter you go to IT Square, Laksi Plaza.
