Hi, I have already done some research in this group for Non O dependent visa (foreigner child studying here, (we are both American) I will accompany him). However I am already currently in Thailand so do I need to leave Thailand again in order to switch from the 60 day Tourist Visa to the Non O visa or can I apply inside of Thailand with all needed documentation and proof and go the immigration here? I have seen mixed things on this. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can switch from a 60-day Tourist Visa to a Non-O Dependent Visa while remaining in Thailand. Responses indicate that policies may vary by immigration office, with some allowing in-country switches while others may require leaving Thailand to re-enter on a Non-O.
