No. Anyone from a qualifying country can still enter visa exempt.

What it means is that those consulates used to take applications only by physically walking in to the consulate to apply. From the 8th you won’t be allowed to. You have to use the online system.

For those that qualify for exempt. Those that don’t it’s still a necessity to enter or to get over 15 days VOA

Depends on the months that you’re talking about. If you want to be pedantic it can be 120, 122 or 123.

@Wells *****
for those not in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Phuket then you can use a service like “marks sending machine”
@Mark ******
will ensure your application is done asap and is excellent. He charges a fee for his service, but compared to having to travel to a VFS office (usually twice) it’s a no brainer.

Yes UK getting better. When I applied recently for an Irish passport for a family member it’s all done online. I applied at about 11am and got a message saying it had been dispatched at 3pm. Arrived a few days later. So UK could still improve somewhat.

If you don’t need interaction with immigration then there is no need to transfer your stamp. Just use both passports when you leave.

If you need an extension then yes you’ll need to get the stamp transferred first. It’s a free service. Go to your local immigration office and apply.

The UK embassy hasn’t issued the “new passport” letter for ages. Immigration know this and won’t bother why you don’t have one.

I’m not sure why you are trying to turn this in to a debate about Brian. He’s having a bad day. Let him be.

Sorry but I don’t understand the logic here. Red means stop. Amber means go really really fast so you can beat the red light. Green means proceed with absolute caution because the other fecker is probably not obeying any of the first two rules.

Sorry but tax questions are out of the scope of this rhetorical rant.
