What is the usual ("normal") processing time for DTV? I have been waiting for almost 1 month now. First (almost) 2 weeks the system showed "Pending document check". And now I have seen "Pending approval" for 2 weeks. Is this usual or would it make sense to inquire the consulate about the status?

Has anyone applied for a DTV in Kota Bharu, Malaysia lately? How long did it take for you? I have been here waiting for 3.5 weeks. For the past 1.5 weeks the application has been in "Pending approval" status. Just wondering if that is the usual experience with visa applications in Kota Bharu or is it taking too long?

I applied for my DTV visa on April 1st via the official website in Hanoi, Vietnam, and my visa is still pending approval. My flight back is scheduled for Wednesday at the end of the day, and I’m getting worried about the timing because Monday its holidays in both countries 😢

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Should I contact the embassy immediately to get an update, or is it normal to wait a little longer? I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations you might have.

My girlfriend and I applied for our multiple-entry tourist visa for Thailand almost exactly one month ago. Our flight to Bangkok is on May 10th, but we haven’t received any feedback from the consulate in Frankfurt yet. Should I be worried, or would it be a good idea to call them?

Submitted my DTV on the 19.03.25, I was asked for additional documents on the 19.03.25, which i supplied in less than 1 hour , now pending approval , is it frowned upon to email embassy and ask for an update? It's been 9 working days to date.

Thanks for any advice , 1st time applying for DTV visa so unsure how long this process normally takes, don't want to come across pushy 🙏 🤞

Wanted to share my experience applying for the workcation DTV in Malaysia. Got a lot of comments saying Malaysia is notoriously strict and slow, but this was not the case for me.

March 21: applied after hours as soon as I landed

March 24: got request for bank statement, employment contract, business license, portfolio, all pages of passport

March 26: request once again for business license, bank statement, employment contract

March 27: request for statement about remote work/dtv relevance

March 28: approved

My guess is that if you have strong documents, bank balances, and portfolio, Malaysia is fairly quick to approve. I was never asked for an interview. Thanks for all the help in the previous posts.

Hello everyone. My partner and I received our DTV in less than 3 days in Indonesia. We submitted the application online, and we stayed in Bali while we waited.

Hey everyone! im going to Laos to get a tourist visa, and everywhere i've read it says its three days process or something like that, but the website says its 10-15 business days to process the visa, starting jan 1st 2025. Has anyone done a visa in Vientiane recently? any update on how long the process takes?
