people make up these new Acronyms and dont realise already been used. Never heard FUD in that context before In Britain its short for fuddy duddy (you old fud) and in Glasgow where i am from its a bit ruder. You may just consider using normal English in posts.

Met quite a few "snowbird" couples when i used to live in Phuket they used a couple of different ways.

Visa exempt (but that is not really an option now)

METV cheapest option but depends upon criteria embassy want (details of flights accomadation etc.

Non OA visa (you can get two seasons out of that with correct timing) Insurance involved which isnt a bad thing.

Elite visa (if money is not really an issue)

have you joined the Thai Citizenship group ? I believe it helps to have valid passport of parent but old one can suffice.

No you dont need anything, but got to admit out of habit i usually take along my folder with all of paperwork and leave in car (just in case)
