The discussion revolves around the controversial announcement that Thailand may allow 50,000 foreigners to enter the country soon, despite strict entry and quarantine requirements. Users express skepticism regarding the feasibility of such an influx given the limited hotel accommodations for quarantine and ongoing travel restrictions. Concerns regarding additional requirements such as travel insurance are raised, and users highlight the complexities involved in booking flights and getting approval from embassies. Many also comment on the economic implications of such policies.

Wish I could say nooo it is so nice here without tourists, and scared people but my compassion for the poor vendors and small business owner tourists have to come :)
What are the requirements ? What are the attractive offer to attract 50,000 investors worldwide (free visa for N year ? Wait I guess Tax free for 10 years , or may be 100% shareholding of a limited company )
Wow! None of that i assume

They need more than 700 investor or job seeker to creat more employment
For my own prospective you need more than that to attract international investors
It’s getting to the stage that some ppl will just not return.
Thai authorities are absolutely clueless and don’t give a shit about their own ppl never mind foreigners.... this will change daily/weekly depending on who wraps the fat envelopes.

Once the farangs come in.. Thais are gonna freak at every farang they see. Been nice with the borders closed.
They might open them for a select few... good luck to that “select few” getting flights 🙄 to there ... all flights I’ve seen from July 1st have already been cancelled and pushed back to 17th and later

There are several flights coming in every day, even right now, and have been throughout this thing.
You need to arrange all this through a Thai embassy anyway, if you registered with them to get on the waitlist they would have more information. Up to recently, it was only Thai nationals on these flights, but now they will be allowing some others.

with 1200 approved quarantine.hotel beds! Take about 2.years.at this rate for phase1. Huge bottle neck they have to open up different veneus or allow home stay..

Next week Tuesday.. Lets hope so. My flight has been cancelled again but hopefully I can get one with another airline. I understand we need to show booking and airline is probably asking for permission from embassy... See how it goes (success)
we will see what guidelines next week. I think permission might be required first before booking flight.

Good point on the medical tourist. However there will be lost more married people wanting to return. Our embassy in NL keep saying they till today did not receive any guidelines?
They aren't all going into those hotels. Over half (30,000) are medical tourists who will be going into hospitals.
The prospective bubble tourists also won't be staying in those quarantine hotels, (all of which are in BangkoK) they will likely be staying in new as yet to be determined ones- they have been talking about Phuket a lot for the travel bubble tourists rather than Bangkok.
yes i know i seen it before, but still cracks me up, love it, always think of my mate, he na I'm not sending any money no way, but next day i seen him in the exchange shop sending money to Thailand, i cracked up laughing, 😂😂😂😂

This is hard to believe, 50,000 foreigners about to arrive next week, most having accepted strict entry requirements, inc paying 35-50k quarantine for 14 days?
oh ok, i was just wondering how that works, sorry but still doesn't make any sense, if the temperature is 42, how do you test people, I'm trying to understand how it works 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ i don't know that's why i was asking
