Hi all, looking for advice regarding dtv visa, my husband does qualify but our home country NZ wants to charge 40,000 baht for each application so we are looking at other countries to apply through. Come this summer, I will be residing in Thailand and traveling back to the USA every two months to see family for a couple of weeks. It appears the multi-entry one year OA Visa would be best suited for me but I have a couple of questions.

Is the initial cost and renewals of the OA Visa still $200? I can't seem to find anything on Thailand's website.

Is there a limit to how many one year renewals I will be granted?

I noticed someone talking about their difficulty in acquiring health insurance. I am 72. Will I be able to obtain health insurance at the limits required by Thailand that will not break my bank?

Thanks so much!!

Hi

Looking for suggestions for a reliable visa agent. I have reached out to many and the rates and requirements vary greatly.

One agent, Speedy Visa in Pattaya, charge THB7000 for Bangkok Bank account, and THB32,500 for non-o visa, and claim they deposit THB800,000 on my behalf so no need to lock up my own funds and 12 month rental contact not needed. Sounds almost too good to be true. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge about them.

Suggestions welcomed.

I'd like to pick the brains of the intelligent ones in the group please.

I'm looking to get visa to stay in Thailand potentially retire.

I'm an Australian citizen 40yrs old so obviously I won't qualify for the retirement option.

I have a thai partner and was looking into the marriage visa option.

This is from a Thai visa agent:

"3 months Non immigrant O + 1 year marriage visa, the price starts from 95,000 THB"

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

Can anyone please help me figure out the actual cost of reentry at Chaengwattana

When I book an appointment online it shows that the fees are 1900Thb

From my understanding it was 1000Thb at immigration office and 1200thb at airport

Am I missing something ? Thank you

Good morning all, please no nasty comments for my questions. For the DTV visa I know you have 2 options is there anyone that will be willing to give me all the necessary information, then if you are married and go on one visa does both pay 10 000 baht? Thanks in advance.

For those who have received a DVT going the cooking route, has anyone had success with a school in Bangkok apart from the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy?

I thought I had initially seen courses in the $500 range that qualified for DVT, but now they’re over $1,000.

Yes, $1,000 is still a bargain for a 5 year visa. But there’s also the possibility that we’ll have to reup every 6 months, and leave the country as well. Those costs would certainly add up over 5 years.
