TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent changes to Thailand's visa policies include the reinstatement of visa on arrival for certain countries and a reduction in visa exemptions from 45 days back to 30 days. There are discussions and confirmations regarding these changes, but some information remains unconfirmed and may vary over time. Travelers are advised to check for updates regularly and consider the implications, particularly regarding quarantine rules and PCR test requirements.
what you talking about you forget test before pcr 2500bht and 2 more in Thailand 5000bht now they cancel only 1 In Thailand. Before had pay 8500bht for 3 test and one before come bother 10.000 bht
That still works out at 420 baht a day with tests for 30 days.
Hotels are half the prices they normally are at the moment.
I left phuket monday and driving home slowly taking in the sights, we stayed Bor Saen villas monday night a private pool villa 1500 baht normal price 4500 baht.
Tonight we are staying on the beach talking 8 metres away in nice bungalow for 800 baht.
they actually can get one more COVID extension if applied for by November 27th... Takes them into January 2022...then leave. But already receiving reports of COVID extension denials .. So it's not a slam dunk approval. Up to the Thai immigration office and officer to grant it
the extension that many foreigners have been getting for the past 2 years or Covid…they will need to have an exit plan or find a way to get a SETV other visa to extend their stay in Thailand

Jeremy Miller. Right, the Covid extension? When you said exemption I thought you were referring to visa exemption, which is still in place but reduced to 30 days. The covid extension is still available until November 26, so that's a while away yet, although the way things are opening up, it might be on the table for discussion.
It figures that as quarantine is now only seven days, the 45 day exemption is not necessary. I thought they might have kicked it out a bit longer to make it more attractive to people coming in, but perhaps they're favouring people buying a tourist visa before they come.
My parents arrive on the 1st having booked 2 weeks ASQ etc, they got their CoEs last week based on staying 45 days. Guess we'll have to go extend their visa on arrival at immigration 🙄 how do the PCR tests work in this case does any one know? They still have to have 3? - also prepaid for obviously
