TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the necessity of filing both the TM30 and TM28 immigration forms in Thailand. Various comments express confusion about the requirements, with some users discussing their experiences with filing TM30s and the implications of their travel patterns within Thailand. Issues regarding the filing process, potential fines for late submissions, and challenges with online systems are also highlighted, indicating a lack of clear guidance on these procedures.

So can anyone clarify. Do you need to do both forms? We have been away and will be returning to our normal place of residence.

There are plenty of people whose extensions have been delayed due to the TM30 not being filed, not every immigration office follows the same application of policy.

what they also fail to explain is that even though two of you may be 'owners' (and therefore landlords) only one of you can be the 'designated' landlord...My missus checked in as the 'landlord' and got fined, upon receipt of the paperwork, for not doing it in a timely fashion. I tried to check in and got refused (bring your papers email received from them). I turn up with the paperwork and get fined (even though I showed them evidence of my attempt to log on and their emails back to me). I then try to log in online when I got back, as I have guests coming, which I do (although now waiting for their password). My wife and kid come back from holiday and try to log in and......hey presto they can't (can you see a fine coming...) and get a message saying I have to do it for them...when she was originally in the system as the landlord (DOH!!), except I can't log them in online because I don't have a password....y e t

What about my case,..i arrive bkk meet my thai g/f, hotel 1 night, check out next morning, usually travel around a few different places stopping at small hotels,.after a few days go back to her house and stay there for a week or so, and then travel around again for a few days untill we return to her house for a week or 2 again,.most of the places we stay at take her ID instead of my passport [and i can see why now],.some see my passport,.and most of the hotels are in a different provence than her home,..it would not be so bad if there was an immigration office nearby to her home,or a police station,.but thats not the case,.so online declaration would be easier,..your thoughts please,..

she needs to go and register as a 'landlord' housing a foreigner and will probably get fined unless she keeps quiet about you and your stay - although they will ask why she needs to then register.....
