Hi new here so hello to everyone a bit of a silly question but what is the average water and electricity bill for a month single guy many thanks 🙏
Answer summary
The average monthly water and electricity bills for a single person living in Thailand can vary significantly based on several factors including location, type of accommodation, and usage patterns. Many users reported their personal experiences, with electricity bills ranging from approximately 600 to 3,000 baht depending on air conditioning use, while water bills typically ranged from 50 to 250 baht. Factors such as the size of the condo, frequency of AC usage, and whether the unit is self-contained all play a role in the final costs.

I think I spend around 1500 for electricity and water. I just did the math in my head what I pay for internet, maid service, and the rest for ac/water.

I have a 49 sqm condo in Jomtien. I have my AC on a lot too.

House can be alot hotter, sun direct on my roof whilst a condo you could be squeezed between 2 others using aircon.

I have climatise over the years sleep with windows open and just a fan. Others running aircon best part of the day. Also house can use bottles gas for cooking, condo all electric so that's more expensive.

So each type of accommodation have disadvantages

How long is a piece of string? It depends on what rate you're charged for both and how old/new your AC is and how much you use it.

Let me make it clearer for you, then - there is no average. It all depends on multiple factors, the main one being how much you use AC. And how much you use AC would also depend on where in Thailand you are and your tolerance for warm to hot weather.

I agree with Gary Porter. I also have a 35sm condo that has two A/C units. I only use one AC unit that is on pretty much 24 hours and the average bill is about 1,900 tbh a month. That’s through MEA which is cheaper and my water bill is average about 180tbh. Keep in mind this is for me and my girlfriend as far as water goes.

. I don't use air con but I do cook my own meals everyday using an electric airfryer and an electric hob, I also have 2 stand fans running
****
. I use an electric shower twice per day

My electric is paid at the government rate of just over 3 Baht per kw and my monthly bill is between 700 to 800 Baht per month. My water is 17 Baht per cubic metre and I pay 120 Baht per month

I live in a 30m² one bedroom condo

30 sqm my estimate is between 600-800 Baht pr month if you pay the government rate. Maybe even less then that, if you use a fan instead of aircon. Water have a minimum charge of 50 Baht pr month, but "normal use" will be no higher then 100-130 Baht pr month.

No real answer. You can rent some places where you pay the electricity bill, some landlords pay the bill and charge you at an inflated rate. Water rates are quite small. Check you lease

what he said is key. Some places almost double the electric rate. I never rent a place unless Im paying PEA (provincial elec authority) rates. Ive had apartments where the elec was as high as the rent. now I rent houses as it is same price or cheaper.
