1. Clubbed/Partied
2. Tourist/Travel/Island Hop/Elephants
3. Shopped for new cloths for climate etc
4. Girlfriend Experience
What else am I forgetting????
My plan was to take 20k for a 6 month vacation 25k total with 5k for flight and and visa fees & insurance;
Pay bills in America for 6 months = $6000
14k ÷ 6 months = 2333 remaining Budget
70k savings getting 4% in high intrest saving account pays me an additional $258 monthly bringing my total BUDGET to $2591 ($2600) monthly.
With $2100 in MANDATORY bills that leaves me $500 a month to party/massages/island hop/ elephants and if push comes to shove "girlfriend experience".
Am I OVER or UNDER BUDGETING....AND WILL $500 a month be enough after MANDATORY BILLS are paid to have the kind of adventure that most are looking for?
P.S. I'm 44 so even tho I look foward to some night life nights....I see myself being more of a "visit the islands" lay up and get massages 6x a week and eat good food and visit cool locations over the club scene. But I do party....
I have seen many individuals and families applying for DTV. Where malaysia also gives digital nomads pass. Why people are not interested for malaysia DNV? Just curious to know the actual reason!
"I received my DTA visa last year in November, and I'm currently based in Australia. I work in Australia, where my primary income source is, but I’m planning to move to Pattaya for good. I’m drawn to the lower cost of living and a more peaceful lifestyle there compared to the hustle and bustle here.
I have a fair bit of savings (about 150k AUD) and plan to live off them for the first 1.5 years. My monthly budget is roughly 30,000–40,000 THB. I’m not a partygoer and would like insights into potential monthly expenses, including:
* Rent
* Food
* Transport
Could those familiar with the cost of living in Pattaya provide realistic estimates or advice on this plan? Thanks in advance!"
A small question from someone (me) who might possibly retire in Thailand one day: For a small condo, how much will I pay for electricity per month (using a/c)? And how much for water?
Thx.
Edit: My question was rather vague, I know 😂.
But I was just looking for a price RANGE - and I thank all of you for giving me that!!!🙏🙏🙏
Hello everyone. Coming back to Thailand for 4 to 6 months but on a bit of a budget so around 9 to 12k a month is best until my plans start to kick in. Will be back and forth from Hua Hin/ Cha Am to Pattaya/ Jomtien and looking for rental sites for monthlies studios. Any suggestions would be appreciated
How much do “border runs” typically cost? I wanted to get the DTV visa but it doesn’t look like i’m going to have the 450,000 Baht before my flight on Oct 10
i’m from US. I’ll be staying in Koh Samui, on whatever other Visa i can get. ( i guess tourist visa) trying to figure up how much it’ll cost to refresh it
What is the attitude of Thailand regarding farang retiring here to pass? Like, not the guys who go broke and want to do weird shit before hopping out hotel windows, but just like really old/sick people?
