HOW I DID MY THAI DRIVERâS LICENSE.
I went to the DLT (Dept of Land Transport) at Bangkok, Chatuchak today. Started at 8AM and got my Thai license by 3PM. Parked my car nearby outside DLT. Clinic nearby car park too and opens 7AM.
â
A quick medical check then a short walk to DLT building #4, on 1st floor inside turn right to Foreigner section, took a queue number to verify my documents. Documents passed to me and staff told me to go 2nd floor at 11am. We went behind building #4 where thereâs a nice canteen for breakfast and lunch only.
â
Breakfast done, we went to 2nd floor, took a queue number and submitted my documents. Next documents passed to me and told to go 3rd floor for âphysical fitness testsâ.
â
At 3rd floor, go to counter, submit documents and take queue number. When they are ready, go for 4 simple tests. Colour blindness test. Depth perception test. Reflex test. Peripheral vision test.
â
Once done, go to 4th floor to wait for training video 1hr. My time slot was 1PM. Video in English.
â
After video, took back documents and went to 2nd floor to get queue number. This is the part you pay B$205 (CASH), photo taken and you get your Thai license on the spot đ„ł Happy as a bird đŠ
