Was asked to post account of getting back to Thailand. If you are stuck outside get to the Farang Stranded abroad group. This is what i posted there try help the next person.

Part Two.

Singapore ==> ASQ

Fit to Fly done at airport @ raffles medical same place I did the covid test so picked up results same time. S$ 129 for fit to fly. I know you can get cheaper elsewhere and didnt realise cost but to be honest i didnt need anymore stress running around.

Check in.

Check all your documents. Please most people had folder with all documents in as I did. Person in front of me didnt and was getting paper from everywhere. (My fuse very short of late as i am sure most the same).

Dont be a dickhead get all papers required by embassy in one place and ready.

Had 36 kg and two bags not a problem wieght allowance was actually 35 kg. But i have a seamans book which allows for double so not a worry.

Singapore immigration not automated at present but Singapore style still organised.

Duty free is open. I gave up drinking two years ago so was only interested in fags.

But wink wink, those of you who do want a tipple or two during quarantine time. Lotte have taken over duty free concession from DFS and are more than willing to sell you more than one bottle, but advise you take the risk.

Flight was empty about 40 people most seemed to be WP holders and more affluent Thais.

Flight.

Plane was empty we all had a row each. Goodie bag given at gate with water and snacks.

There were 20 state quarantine people on flight but didnt see them through whole process i am guessing they sat in business class at front of plane and only saw them getting herded into coach at exit. Guessing because they dont have to do covid test pre arrival.

Arrival.

As many people have said straight forward have all your documents organised. TM 8 I found on this site filled in and ready.

First is document check

Again surprised didnt see many O visa holders and lady was surprised when i spoke to her in Thai. Same at immigration she said oh Non O.

Immigration wow i had three officers and no queues.

Customs.

Doesnt seem to be any checks there is a warning signs everythings on CCTV.

I am guessing they are too scared of covid to search bags.

Another wink wink moment booze is not allowed in ASQ so make sure have space in carry on bag so its hidden

You get given a number tag for ASQ when you arrive and they take particulars guy waiting outside to escort you into mini van ambulance. They clean your bags. For smokers it time for a fag.

I Booked Anatara Siam paid extra for smoking room Total 116000 baht.

There was only two hotels could get rooms for my date and that was Anatara and Terminal 21 and i dont like the hieght and big windows of 21.

Got to hotel 7 people waiting in car park by tradesman entrance including nurse did covid test there which was hell of a lot easier than the one in Singapore.

Escorted to room thats all Simple.

Rooms are very good bed is a dream.

Food is good and after seeing other posts was happy not to have airplane trays. Portions quite small which is probably a good thing as not using much energy.

Now just do my remaining time got playstation with me and set up. But i know there is a guy renting out PS4 for short time on facebook.

Got push up board and resistance bands for excercise both lightwieght items can easily be carried in luggage.

They did offer some excercise equipment for extra 3000 baht but max size dumbell was 4 kg.

Please search Singapore for my previous post for info getting paperwork

Please dont ask about insurance search the group.

Many thanks to all for useful posts and answers.

No thanks go to the people posting items why we shouldnt do quarantine and this and that medical shit and facts. We are already depressed and frustrated STOP making it worse. Its Thailands choice accept it or fuck off and go to Trump world.

My father is still in Coma in Africa supposed to be coming off the ventilator today. Covid is real folks I had one uncle die few months ago in France on his own, my auntie couldnt even see him. Thats why more than willing to do this quarantine and protect family here if you think they are being OTT then fuck off its there choice.

Take care and dont lose hope.

Sorry for your loss. I’m personally very thankful we live in one of safest places in the World right now. I own 23 restaurants and sure tourism would help but at what cost ? Time to make money and time to survive. We are surviving and helping others. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
