 Its the law same as most countries that it has to be translated into official language of that country. Brazil is same had to get everything translated to Portuguese and notarised for work permit

I used same copy as i did for marriage I used Express Translation near central embassy (bangkok) and they dealt with MFA as well. Also if you are going to do Yellow book get pink ID card same time as its same paperwork and no cost
