Not sure about the documents I should prepare so I have some questions for 2 ways of doing it..

1) Would new business/individual activity registration and freelance portfolio be enough? Assuming I don’t have any tax returns, because it is new business.

2) Normal contract, no freelancer contract, where it is stated, that I can work remotely. Or do I also need to provide additional document from company, that I can work remotely?

Thank you 🙏

Hi all,

I was requested to provide my freelancer portfolio or a website (for my DTV visa application).

I'm working as a remote contractor and I have both a contract and a letter from the firm stating that they'll continue my employment from Thailand (all of this was included in the original submission).

What should I do regarding the portfolio?

Would it be enough to include a letter, stating my situation?

Hi I wanted to ask a question about applying for the DTV at HCMC embassy. I am a self-employed online freelancer making music. I have the needed funds in a checking account and I have a portfolio showing many clients, invoices and contracts and detailing exactly what I do.

My only worry is that I do not have a company set up and I do not have 6 months of payslips. Although this isn't officially required for the visa is seems like everyone is being asked for these documents, is there any chance of approval without them and if not, is there any nearby country/embassy that I can apply from without them?

Hello

I'm interested in applying DTV to get 180 days stay permit in Thailand. i have checked all the requirements and i have no problem with them except the professional portfolio requirement. Had anyone experienced this before you start a digital nomad life but you need the portfolio now to enter Thailand?

This group has been very helpful to me when I was a clueless freelance worker (e.g. making income from etsy, fiverr) that didn't know how to go about with the documents to upload to prove my employment! So I made a youtube video sharing how I presented my professional portfolio, proof of income with invoices etc... Hopefully this video will help anyone like me :)

Hello to those who applied in the UK, any red flags in my application? I am unsure whether I need to prove my relationship to the address stated on my documents (utility), as I don't currently live at that address

Role: works freelance for a single client. Client is in Germany.

Situation: UK native, hasn't lived in the UK for 1+ year. No clear residency for that period of time (mainly travelling on tourist visas) Currently renting short-term in the UK. No rental contract but can have it made up.

Enclosed items

* Passport

* Passport style photos

Supporting documents

* Financial evidence of ฿500,000

* Proof of income since January 1 2025 (Wise bank statement)

* Contract of freelance work (supplied by client, digital signature)

* Letter from client confirming remote status (supplied by client, digital signature)

* 6 months client invoices

* Shareholder certificate

* LinkedIn profile

Needed?

* Proof of current location: Immigration stamp in?

* Proof of address (rental agreement)?

Bonus question: can anyone say for sure that I can enter Thailand on a DTV approved more than 90 days prior to entry? Is there a time limit to entering?

TIA!

hi, i'm a freelance web designer. My main client is an Australian development house. I do a lot of design work for one of their customers an online crypto casino. Do you think the Thai government would have an issue in giving me a DTV visa if i'm creating designs for an online casino but not working for them.

Hi everyone 👋

I’m looking into applying for the DTV (from UK) under the Workcation/freelancer route and was wondering if anyone here has been approved with a similar situation to mine.

Here’s a bit about me:

* Previously worked from home in automotive engineering industry making a decent salary.

* I’ve left that role in September to start my own online business (currently pre-revenue).

* I could pick up contracting work in engineering again if needed.

* I do some occasional freelance work (web/marketing) for UK clients - not full-time, maybe £500-£1000pm.

* I have plenty of savings and no intention of working with or for Thai companies.

Essentially, I’m self-funded, with a past track record of income, some light freelance work now, and the ability to earn more if needed.

Has anyone been approved with a similar profile - e.g. early-stage entrepreneurs or part-time freelancers without a fixed monthly income?

Any tips or experiences would be appreciated 🙏

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Can anyone who’s done the freelance workcation DTV process themselves help/ direct message me?

1. For the ฿500,000 That is required to show on your bank statement does it have to be on your bank statements for multiple months or can you just read on one month?

1. Since Im currently in Thailand is it easier to go to Vietnam to apply and if so, Do I need to go to the embassy in Vietnam for any part of the DTV application process? which hotels did you all stay?

1. For DTV freelancers what important information with our portfolio or proof of work is essential to show in the application?

Hi all, just a quick question. I am planning to apply for the dtv when I have handed my notice in for my current employer. I intend to work freelance on the weekends over the next 6 months to build a stronger application( I know this is not ideal as income will be quite low each month from this but better than nothing.) Would it be a red flag when providing my most recent bank statement as my last pay from the company will likely be on it. Is it likely they will query this? Applying through London embassy for reference
