ok thanks Brandon. Maybe I stated something not clear. End of July im retired. But as my wife is Thai, i want to ultimately have the 12 months extension based on marriage. The immigration are excellent in Buriram and my wife and I have been there a couple times already.

But what seems difficult or rather frustrating, is I cant seem to select the correct 90 day initial visa. (Which I can only 3 months out from date i intend to arrive in Thailand which is middle October.

2 years. But you are right, i should stick to my original plan for working towards a marriage visa.

I need to get out the UK ASAP!!

But it is marriage not retirement

(Though I retire in two months time before I apply)

ok thanks Bob. Is that selectable from the E-Visa website? I don’t recall seeing it.

I have to wait until mid July as I can’t apply until 3 months before.

But know what to select would be useful

as I was to move to thailand full time middle of October, i should get the type OA visa then extend for 12 months after 3 months.

Trouble is, im struggling with the E-Visa website.

I don’t understand this on the E-Visa website… what proof of residence? In Thailand or UK?
