TLDR : Answer Summary
When opening a bank account in Thailand, you typically receive a bank book, although some banks also offer digital options through mobile apps. Experiences vary by bank; for example, accounts at Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank provide a physical bank book, while the SCB account might not. Therefore, whether you receive a bank book may depend on the specific bank and type of account you choose.
not if it’s SCB they do not provide a bank book for their Easi Pass account and I provide a copy of the account details to immig along with bank letter which has sufficed for last 3 years….

Kasikornbank opened a bank account for me, including an ATM card, bank book and the banking app, everything was nicely arranged by a very nice bank employee.
