I am applying for a Type O visa (based on marriage to a Thai) on 6th October in London.

One criteria is that I need a letter to confirm where my wife and I eill be staying in Thailand.

At the moment, this can be either a homestay or a friend of my wifes house.

Has anyone here had to submit a letter like this for the Type O visa? Just wondering what the content of the letter needs to be.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Type O visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen, you need to submit a letter confirming your accommodation in Thailand. This letter can be a simple invitation from your wife stating where you will be staying, whether at her home or a friend's. Alternatively, you can provide hotel bookings for a few nights, which can be canceled after submitting your application.

no need to have your wife or her brother in law vouch for any stay in their places . . . . . you could also provide a proof of 3-5 nights of a hotel booking, which you can cancel after having submitted the visa application
