TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users recommend various e-SIM options for unlimited internet calls in Thailand. AIS is widely regarded as one of the best choices due to its competitive pricing and strong 5G connectivity. Many users mentioned purchasing AIS plans that offer substantial data, including options for unlimited usage. Other recommendations include True, which users have found reliable, and Saily.com for international use. SimOptions is also suggested as a source for good e-SIM deals.

I find AIS to be the best because their 5G has by far the fastest data connection.

it doesn't matter what SIM you get so long as it is using AIS 5G as the provider.

Yes - but it'll cost you a fortune in roaming fees if you use your UK SIM.

I use a twin SIM phone one SIM for UK and one for Thailand. I switch priority to whichever country I'm in. or install an e-Sim which will work alongside your UK SIM

your phone needs to be unlocked to add another SIM. And take your passport as if you are opening a bank account the number needs to be associated to it so you can use a banking app

take your passport. You can have either a physical or esim. They'll do everything for you. What I did was get the SIM for 50 baht and then downloaded the AIS app . Then I looked online ( not on the app ) and topped up the SIM with the 50 gig contract. Again they'll do it . I did all this in the AIS shop in Bangkok at Sian paragon.

AIS.

You can order it online I think. Or just get regular SIM at airport.

You will get a much better deal on unlimited than the multiple country eSIMs.
