very similar to me, came across end nov24, had 60 days, extended another 30 then did a border run to cambodia, i left thailand abit earlier than the
****
/25 deadline but am arriving back into the kingdom end of nov25.. thinking i may have some issues on arrival if my non-imm O visa doesn't come thru shortly 😯 taking into account the new guidelines we have had our quotas already for this year
i had the offer of a 'friendly agent' sort out the 800k/ visa and it was going to cost me 30,000 tbh, but i had the funds anyway but didn't actually want that particular visa so i left it. things have a habit of biting you in the arse in thailand sooner or later if u don't do things the way the authorities want.
wow Chogoon is doing really well !! i sold up beginning of 24, i knew things would be turning bad over here but i didn't think this bad!! i will be at mine still in feb, you and your wife are welcome to stay at mine any time mate, i've got plenty of room!
i bank with kasikorn and they never give me any grief. yeh the married visa is a lot of messing about. Hope all is well Stu, and thanks for the advice.
Hi John i will stay the full 90 days and maybe extend for a year, im not sure as yet, i unfortunately am not in the position to stay permanently at the moment. but i sure as hell aint staying in the uk with labour in control !!
i know what Stu meant, i am aware that if i want to extend my non imm o visa to a year's stay ( based on marriage ) i need 400k tbh in my thai account, but now i have clarification that the proof of finances to obtain the o visa to stay for 90 days can be provided through my uk account my dilemma has been solved.
