When on a 90 day non-immigrant O visa, my 400k will be in the bank 4 days after I arrive. (1 day delay as constitution day).

Is it absolutely fixed that I must wait 60 days for the money to mature before applying for the 12 month extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 12-month extension on a NON-O visa, you do not need to wait a fixed 60 days; instead, you must wait two calendar months from the date of your bank deposit. It's advisable to apply within 30 days of your entry stamp expiring, although some offices may accept applications with up to 45 days remaining. Also, ensure your immigration office's specific requirements, as some may require different documentation.

For $300 an agent will handle the whole process for you. No money in the bank no nothing. Done in 2 days. Multiple entry add $100. Work smarter not harder.

It's 800k needed for the first one year extension, seasoned for 60 days.

My branch has be doing 3 month bank statements. So be careful which immigration office you go to also
Graham ******
@Cris *****
You need three months bank statements to be able to show the money deposited for two full months (a 3 month statement now would be all of July, all of August plus September to date, a 2 month statement would not be two full months).

not sure. But for a marriage visa at korat immigration they require a 3 month statement.

If your bank account is already set up, send the money now. Also, apply for a Non-O while abroad.

the Non O is being done 6th October

Arrive Thailand 8th December

Bank account open 11th December and hopefully transfer money same day.

Unfortunately we are having issues finding a property so we will have to stay in a homestay unless quickly we can find a place to rent. We will need this for when immigration come to take pictures of the property.

400k is for the extension of stay for marriage only

No, you don't wait 60 days. You wait TWO MONTHS. Whether that's 60 days or not depends on the length of the months.

If you make your deposit on the 12th of a month, you can apply on the 12th subsequently 2 months later. So February 12th means you can apply April 12th, etc.

Also, you cannot apply earlier than when you have 30 days left on your entry stamp from your non-O, though some offices allow when you have 45 days or less left.

OK so as this will be through Dec and Jan, it will be aprox 26 days left on my 90d visa.

But thats enough time to apply for 12 extension?
Brandon ************
@John ********
you can apply on the last day. It's only conversions from one visa type to another that can require early application normally

but is it not an issue that I then go over my 90 day non-immigrant visa? (If I applied on the 89th day?

Ive also only got one way flights booked.

@John ********
they will put an under consideration stamp in your passport

@John ********
the visa is gone and done once you enter. It's no longer relevant. The only thing that matters is the entry stamp in your passport.

two months not 60 days
