TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the cost and recommendations for purchasing an iPhone in Thailand. Many comments suggest that buying an iPhone in Thailand may be more expensive compared to other countries, particularly Europe. Some users recommend purchasing a phone from the UK or using an existing device with a new SIM card instead. Additionally, there are suggestions for getting a SIM-only contract with attractive data plans. Overall, the consensus leans towards avoiding new iPhone purchases in Thailand due to higher prices.

Depends how long you plan to stay .. and how much you need to use your own sim card 🤔

I ordered from Lazada ( DTack sim card )

1300 baht year - unlimited internet ..

Enaugh to watch videos or movies … etc ..

Because all calls i make are done via wifi and internet .. didn’t need to pay extra for calls ..

Bath, so about 1500 euros. No real difference to Europe. Apple actions don't really exist. Maybe over a period of time cell phone tariff, but it's not cheaper either....

Or get an eSIM.

Buy it from the country you spend most time at. I had one bought in Europe and in Thailand they refused to change the battery since it was not bought from Asia :)
