I read on an common agency website, that if I enter thailand with visa exemption stamp, i can still apply for a marriage visa at the local thai immigration office providing I meet the requirements for the 90 day Non-O visa.
This is confusing as
1. It seems to suggest I have to apply for the Type O visa as I havd to meet the requirements for it.
2. I don’t have the Thai bank account as it cannot be opened without a Type O visa.
Don’t get me wrong, im not getting my hopes up by relying on this route to a marriage visa.
Are my ‘doubts’ correct?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about applying for a marriage visa in Thailand while entering with a visa exemption stamp. They question whether they can meet the requirements for the 90-day Non-O visa, especially regarding the necessity of having a Thai bank account, which they cannot open without a Non-O visa. Community comments suggest it is easier to obtain the Non-O visa before arriving in Thailand to avoid complications with bank accounts and other visa documentation. There are mentions of agencies that can assist with the application process and issues surrounding the proof of being single for marriage purposes.
