Like all things Thai you have to

Talk

Don’t take no for answer

And stay on top of it

If the govt hospital can’t provide care the Thai clinic she is registered at has the ability and authority to move her to a hospital that can care for her….

If she’s in bkk and has a hospital that can’t help her she can ask to move to Sriirat hospital, Chula, police hospital where they can treat her outside her govt hospital

Also at night (1800-2000 hours) the dr’s do appointments at the government hospitals for many ailments it’s not free the consultation usually costs ฿550-฿650 baht but they can prescribe basically anything from MRI’s to surgery under the UCS (free)…

It’s all covered, you just have to stay on top of it and talk the Thai way of talking

The good thing is that her illness is covered under the Thai healthcare scheme

Apply for a marriage visa or a retirement visa if you’re 50+

If not apply for a 6 month metv that will give you 9 months with strategic visa runs

In that time apply for a retirement or marriage visa

Good Luck

Best to ask an agent lawyer or go to the BOI and ask

This is a grey area situation where you could be in a lot of trouble when they see you have a valid DTV

But usually you need a Non-B visa with a WP since you will be generating income within Thailand

Good Luck

฿1,900 at your local immigration office

But you run into the multiple visa runs or border bounce criteria

You could buy the 60 Single Entrance Thai Visa for ฿1,900 at a Thai embassy/consulate

Or the 6 month METV if you meet the criteria
