TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether physical therapy lasting over 90 days can be a valid reason to apply for a medical visa in Thailand. One comment clarifies that there is no specific medical visa; instead, individuals may apply for an extension of stay based on medical needs through official channels. It is also noted that this 'medical visa' concept is part of a proposal and may not yet be implemented.

Yes, just announced in todays BKK Post, those visa are now 90 days for patients of 5 Asian countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) as well as those from China.
I think they're changing the days they get in on either a visa exempt stamp or a visa on arrival to 90 days for those countries
Right now burmese & cambodians get 14 day visa exempt entries (burmese get it only by air) and Chinese BUY a 15 day visa on arrival when they show up here.
anyone can apply for an extension of stay based on medical reasons, you do it in room A out at the Chaengwattana. That's been a rule for a long time now. There is NO medical "visa" it's an extension of stay based on medical needs.
