TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around issues faced by applicants of the Thailand Pass, particularly in relation to communication with the Thai embassy and consulates. There are delays noted in the system, with some contributors expressing frustration over the inconsistencies in website reliability compared to private sector websites. There are also comments about the busyness at the Thai Consulate in Sydney, where some applicants noted quick processing times for visa applications, despite the overall concerns about high volumes and support issues.

Was in Sydney Thai Consulate today and it was busier than I thought but no drama. On line visa application took less than 24 hours .Cashier said it has been busy this week there .

Not to be negative here but "huge volune of applicants"?
Is the website limited to 1000 applications? 500?
How does a government funded website just crash because of high volume, when we all know the the volume of users of the Thailand Pass website isn't even remotely close to say, Lazada or Grab, which run perfectly fine with thousands of orders coming in every hour..?
that makes sense. It's probably not because of the thai workers but the extremely limited budget they put into these projects, as every single government funded app or website seems to be broken at launch.
