Today I received my 6 month multiple entrance visa from the NYC Thai Consulate....

super simple process I went in yesterday with a bank statement that showed 6 months, filled out the form, submitted my plane ticket and paid the $200...there was no line and I was in and out in 15 min both days

Flight out of Thailand I had to submit....no hotel booking, I told them I was staying with a friend
