I have a friend with a German Passport that needs to do a border run, they want to go to the Poi Pet border crossing.

At this crossing do they need to stay overnight or is it an easy Out/In in the same day?

At this time with a German passport will they be able to do the Border crossing or with the Corvid-19 pandemic will they be denied entry to Cambodia or Thailand after the border crossing?

With the German Passport even though they have been in Thailand for the past 3 months will they have to show a Dr. Note showing they do not have the Crovid-19?

All answers are appreciated .

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is asking about the process for a German passport holder performing a border run at the Poi Pet crossing. Key concerns include whether an overnight stay is required, potential restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and whether a doctor's note stating they do not have COVID-19 is necessary after three months in Thailand. The community responds with suggestions to check Cambodia's entry restrictions and comments about the suitability of the Poi Pet crossing.

seeing as it's the THAI visa advice page not the "any news for any bordering countries too" page I think they were right to close the thread. In fact I might have even deleted it :O

Why would he pick an armpit border like Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet to do a border bounce. You couldn't pick a more LESS user friendly border in all of thailand for bouncing out and in :/ WTF does he love to torture himself?

second that, the io women with the scrambled egg on her shoulders is a right witch! I think she secretly enjoys sending westerners back! That seating area is like her personal interrogation zone. POI pet stay well away from!!! Unless you have a visa and reason other than tourism to come to Thailand through that crossing!
