TLDR : Answer Summary
The Royal Thai Gazette published a new Covid extension announcement on January 25, 2022, signaling a preferential extension period rather than the rumored 30 days. There are inquiries regarding the availability of Covid extensions for those entering on a visa exemption and who have already utilized a 30-day extension.

Are covid extensions also possible if you enter on visa exempt and already did the 30 day extension?

the 60 day covid extension paperwork is essentially the same as the 30 day visa exemption extension (inc. 1900 baht)?

A good sign and not the 30 days that was being rumored, my 90 is up in Feb and a Covid extension sure would be easy

they wont guarantee that you will be approved, you need a backup plan as quite a few may get refused.

yea I saw Richard barrow mention that, I’m not too worried and I will also go to an office that will see fewer of the requests. Also will be my first and only possible Covid extension this trip.

Worse case scenario is I’ll have to pay “service fee”, it is thailand after all

I wouldn't be worried for your first, second or even third. I don't think that's abuse. But people who have been in Thailand for almost 2 years on it...
