Just a question on the TM30

I have a Tambienbahn and a pink Thai ID Card do I still have to file a tm30 every time I come and go? Or only when I stay over 30 days at my residence?

 I did talk to an immigration official and he said that the tm30 only needs to be completed if I stay long stay (plus 30 days).

I just wanted to ask other people that have the same predicament as me...
