if I were him i'd get to Thailand with tourist visa then when that's about to end (2-3 weeks) just go to Savannakhet, Laos

No mate. I went a month ago. I'm actually surprised here why no one told you already in this group about just going to savannakhet in Laos to get that visa once your tourist visa near the end.

Just get to Thailand then go savannakhet in Laos for the none o multiple entry visa based on marriage with Thai then come back into Thailand with a 15 months visa

Depends who you get in maisai. If its the dragon lady she''ll make something difficult that isn't actually difficult 555 I'm also non o multiple entry based on marriage. They said my Thai address didn't exist. I said "ok Google it then! "

All this isn't as bad as people make out. The only problems here are from some farangs who've been here for many years escaping from one visa for the next, then making New members / travellers etc panic about nothing.

I've just recently been to savannakhet in Laos to get my none o multiple entry visa based on marriage and NO financials required and very user-friendly like Tod Daniels said. Oh and the baguettes were good there too 😊
