TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring whether they can receive a one-year Non-O visa based on their marriage, despite their passport expiring in July of the following year. Several comments discuss the requirements for visa applications related to passport validity, indicating that a passport must generally have a minimum validity of six months for a Single Entry Visa and one and a half years for a one-year visa. There are also suggestions about renewing the passport to ensure compliance with visa rules.

If you visit a Thai Consulate or Embassy the answer is NO. You need minimum 6 months validity to obtain a Single Entry Visa, 1,5 year Validity for the 1 year visa.

If you apply fir a new passport now, the remaining months on your old passport are added to the validity of the new one.
Transfer your current extension etc to the new passport. Apply for renewal as normal.
Job done.
