Hi all I'm British, anyone had experience getting the NON - O Multy Entry based on marriage in Penang, Malaysia? I know Savannakhet easy but I wouldn't mind visiting another country in the future. I have heard more paperworks needed. Cheers all.

Wouldn't hurt just incase, but I did not. They didn't ask any questions. I was in and out both times within 2 minutes.

I went to Seoul because I have done the one in Lao at savannkhet before and from Chiang Rai it is so far away. It takes 2 days to get there two days there and then two days to come back so that's already a week. And a stone's throw away from the amount of plane ticket is to Seoul. I had some friends that I stayed with in seoul so that covered my housing but food isn't too expensive, it's a bit more than Thailand but all things considered Seoul is still a pretty cheap place to be. I will for sure never do this visa in laos again now that I know that I can do this in seoul. To me, it's worth the little extra money.

I got a round trip on air Asia for 10,000 from chiang rai. Stayed a week. Seoul is amazing. It's a 2 day turnaround on visa though. If you turn in paper monday, you pick up Wednesday.

Copies of wife passport, government id, tabien baan, marriage certificate (and real one but they didn't look at it), copy of my passport, application and 2 photos. And the fee, 200,000 korean won for the multiple entry, and it's 80,000 for single.

penang definitely wants to see 400K in the bank (but it doesn't have to be a thai account and it doesn't have to be seasoned).
@Te***
, I thought that 90 day single entry Non-O first, then go back and get the year-long, multi-entry from them was based on having half thai kids not on marriage. BUT I don't know either.
