Morning all, does Anyone know if my non o based on marriage visa is covered in the amnesty until 30th July? It actually expired 9th April but I paid an agent for more time until 30th April. However, I don't want to keep paying an agent if I can stay here for free! I'm basically waiting until I can get another marriage visa in savannaket. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring if their non-O marriage visa, which expired on April 9, is covered by the current amnesty until July 30. They paid an agent for an extension until April 30 but are uncertain if they need to keep paying the agent, as they are waiting to apply for a new marriage visa in Savannaket. Comments suggest that they might be covered under the amnesty, but advise checking directly with immigration for confirmation.

Unfortunately for the year extension you have your foreign marriage legalized in your country AND registered HERE in thailand just like you need to do with the 60 day visit thai family extension
AND
you also show 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the yearly extension ;)
Also keep in mind you're asking "if you're covered" too soon :O this extended amnesty was just a proposal that was passed by the thai cabinet, AND until it's really published in the royal gazette it isn't anything other than a proposal.
We will ALL have to wait until the proposal is published to see what's what, BUT the good news is you're still covered until the 30th so you have another 8 days
OK but please don't shut comments off for this cos I want to hear from other fellow people with marriage visas. The immigration weren't very helpful last time I went
you need to post on a f/b group related to where you live in thailand, because there are more than 70 immigration offices so what someone was told at their immigration office in Nakhon Nowhere might or might not have any relevance with your office.
As I said when I messaged you I believe you paid an agent to do NOTHING for you (seeing as you didn't get any extension stamp in your passport and were just told "you're in the system until the 30th") because I believed you ARE covered on the current amnesty for free.
AND
There is a good chance you might be covered on the blanket amnesty that will take effect until July 31st.
BUT
the only way you will really know is to slog on over to the immigration office and ask them to be sure.
