Hi Tod.. you are correct on the 2 consulates now.. as the one in Toronto, closed down.. The Toronto consulate, I did a walk-in years back, and was told only issued for family situation even though I was over 50 etc.. And then, when i actually drove to Ottawa to the consulate/embassy, hand submitted my OA appl, was also informed that the non-O 90days was more for family. And so i gave up. Is all good, will do all this within Thailand. thx
yes that is true. The Non-Imm O will give the the 'option' to further apply for the 1 yr extension should I wish to proceed forward with it. Yes, more requirements (hopefully insurance is not one of them, though it's smart to get it regardless).
Thanks. I had done that in the past. However, this time around, perhaps only stay for 2-4 months. Fund in Thai bank will not be an issue. Will pass on the multiple -entry 6 mnts Tourist Visa...
