Has anyone ever been REFUSED to exit Thailand??? Today I drove all the way from Korat to the friendship boarder in Laos .. my visa was good until the end of today so I’m not over staying .. I was to depart Thailand to go make a proper non o visa online while in Laos.. the female immigration officer refused to let me leave! Even having all the documents to support my intention of the Non O Visa.. She did mention about doing repeat visa runs, last entry I returned from China by air … which is fine I’m leaving to go get the proper visa. I understand not being let back in, but not being able to leave, she told me to go get a flight out. Also should mention the same thing happend to a few others while I was there.
My husband is currently on a 1-year retirement visa. Now the change in law means he can apply for a dependent visa as I have a 1-year work visa. He's applying via UK embassy e-visa, and we'll go across to Vietnam and reenter to activate it. His current retirement visa expired on 4th Nov. If he leaves on the 4th and enters in the 5th, will that cause any issues? My HR dept. is saying he would need to go to immigration and get the cancelled stamp on the retirement visa or it could cause issues is that correct?
I entered Thailand on an ED visa and was given 90days before I need to go to immigration to extend. If I plan to leave Thailand for an extended period of time(months or years) do I need to cancel the ED visa with immigration before I leave or will it just naturally expire without issue?
Good morning, my non-B visa expires on October 31, 2025. I made an appointment through the immigration website for renewal on the 31st. Is that correct, or will the officers cause any problems if I renew it on the same day? Thank you for your clarification.
I have an OA retirement visa which is valid till 13 March 2026 but my insurance & my entry stamp only give me till 20 November 2025 when my insurance expires. I am exiting the country for a few weeks in November, will renew my insurance, and come back in to Thailand on 23 November 2025. I understand that this will give me another year stamp based on the expiry of my insurance, so in effect, till November 2026. If I want to leave the country again in April 2026 for a few weeks, I believe I will need to get a re-entry permit, but will I be stamped back in till the end of my insurance (November 2026), or how will it work based on that my "visa" only gives me till March 2026? I am a little confused and would appreciate your advice, thanks.
Hi all, so here's my situation...on September 14, which is a Sunday, my visa runs out. If I could get it extended on that day, all would be fine for my exit from Thailand on October 12. However, because it is a Sunday, I either have to get it extended on the Friday, and then be a day or 2 late when leaving the country or be 1 day late for the extension. My thoughts are it would be best to be a day late asking for an extension but would like to know what would happen either way as I don't want it marked on my passport if avoidable.
Hello! My Daughter has an ED Visa and I have a Non-O (dependent) Visa. Our visas expire next year. Booked a flight for Dec 13. How soon can I go to immigration to submit school letter and to cancel our visas? School will refund deposit to my bank account. Will I have a hard time getting the cheque cleared and not be able to withdraw my balances on my account? Thanks 🙏
