yes that is true. The Non-Imm O will give the the 'option' to further apply for the 1 yr extension should I wish to proceed forward with it. Yes, more requirements (hopefully insurance is not one of them, though it's smart to get it regardless).

Thanks. I had done that in the past. However, this time around, perhaps only stay for 2-4 months. Fund in Thai bank will not be an issue. Will pass on the multiple -entry 6 mnts Tourist Visa...

why not apply for the covid 19 extension, if get declined, get the 30 day extension.

Nice trap for failure to report on time. Immigration does not control postal mail. You are responsible.

As of Nov 2019, you would have needed insurance to apply for. OA. Thus OP would already have this insurance.

i will head over to immig office next week and ask them on 30 days or 60 days.

I thought I read immigration notice that an extension would be for 60 days rather than usual 30 days. Can't seem to find this article. I am on Long Stay and not a tourist.. Just want to stretch it a tad longer..

Oh my mistake.. I thought it was just general extension.. The type I am not sure... I do have an O-A, permitted to stay to end of this month. I do not want extension on the O-A ( 1 yr extension) as I do not have the requirements. So question is if I apply for an extension., 1990 baht.. Will get 30 or 60 days..
