I have just arrived in Thailand 2 days ago (BKK) and I'm looking to extend my visa exmeption (30 days) (UK citizen).

What do I need to take with me to immigration to achieve this?

I've contacted my AirBnB owner (booked for 7 days) for a TM30 but she is saying she needs to contact the immigration department about this.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your 30-day visa exemption in Thailand as a UK citizen, you will need to gather some essential documents before visiting the immigration office. Key requirements include filling out a TM7 form, providing a copy of your passport along with the entry stamp, a passport photo, and the applicable fee of 1900 baht. Although your AirBnB booking should suffice for a TM30, some immigration offices may require a TM30 receipt, which may or may not be requested during your visit. It is advisable to check with your AirBnB host or consider checking into a hotel that can provide you with a TM30 receipt to avoid potential delays.

Well at least at Jomethein(Pattaya) office, they won't issue you a queue number for submitting your extension application unless you have a copy of the the TM30 included. Perhaps you can submit the TM30 application yourself (you have the rental contract/passport pages) rather than waiting on AirBnB.

well you'll either be asked for a TM30 and won't get the extension without one OR you won't be asked and you'll be fine.

No one on this group is gonna be able to tell you how it will go for you

So just go out and try for the extension using the address you have and if they don't let you apply you know to check in to a hotel that can file a TM30 on you then go apply

Or check in to a hotel, get yourself a TM30 and potentially save yourself 1 additional trip to Laksi

The food court is a bit overrated, actually

let your hair down and have a night down town, book in to a hotel and tell them you need a copy of your TM30

Get a TM7 filled before you go. Passport copy and stamp copy. Airbnb booking should cover for tm30. Passport photo. 1900 baht

it’s unclear and doesn’t really answer that specific question sadly. That’s why I’m asking

So I don't need the TM30? I just show my AirBnb booking?

Also, does the booking need to last for my entire stay? As I only have 7 days booked right now.

considering that AirB&B under 30days is illegal, don't plan on getting a TM30 from the owner. Chances are very high that she's not going to file one.

is this true? I imagine I need a TM30 with an apartment that has a equal booking length to how long I plan to stay too?

I’ve never needed a TM30 and only showed hotel or room booking and never even questioned. Dress smart and show respect. 👍

This is general information for a 30-day tourism extension. It's more like a hit-or-miss at the IT Square Laksi Plaza in Bangkok whether you would be asked for a TM30 receipt.
